Hone your audition skills with this workshop by actor and teacher Lisa Barnes on Wednesday, October 23 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Participants will get a chance to practice reading sides followed by feedback from Barnes. The course will also cover the fundamentals of audition prep, i.e. what to wear, slating, etc. Practice being comfortable on camera and be ready to audition at your best with this HFC workshop!

Lisa Barnes has a BFA in Theatre from University of Southern California, where she was mentored by the late John Houseman. She studied with Stella Adler for 3 years and “The Neighborhood Playhouse” in New York. She has appeared in over 25 television and film roles and has worked in commercials and voice-over for the past 30 years. Her theatre credits include Off-Broadway, regional and Los Angeles theater productions. She is the recipient of 2 LA Drama Critic’s Circle Awards and is one of 5 founding members of Primary Stages Co., an Off-Broadway theatre celebrating it’s 31st year. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA, The League of Professional Theatre Woman and Past President of Women in the Arts & Media Coalition.
