Join us on APRIL 17th & 18th for PRODUCING 101 with CONNIE FLOREZ and CINDY IODICE. ![]() Connie Florez founded Hula Girl Productions LLC in 2003. Her projects have included award winning documentaries and narrative feature film projects such as Kumu Hina, Chasing Shadows, Waikiki (Sundance Native Lab), Ride the Thunder (Oscar shortlist), State of Aloha, Ke Kulana He Mahu: Remembering a Sense of Place, Swell and The Willing. Short films include: The Bridge, My Eyes Adore You, Fishbowl by director Kayo Hatta, and Constructions. She has also worked as a music and film producer for the Honolulu Symphony: Princess Kaiulani, Hiromi in Love as well as feature projects released by Lionsgate, Roadside Attractions, Music Gate, Warner Music Group, Amazon Prime, Netflix and National Education K-12 nationally and Internationally. For her artistic accomplishments, she has earned the Cannes Short Film Corner, World Cinema International Film Festivals Europe, CINE Golden Eagle Awards and The Accolade Awards, etc.; she is also the recipient of the Women in Film/General Motors Alliance Award for Emerging Filmmakers.
From 2005-2010, she has taught film studies at the Academy for Creative Media- University of Hawaii at Manoa. For more than 15 years, Connie has served as Director of Film Programming at the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival sponsored by the Honolulu Gay & Lesbian Cultural Foundation. founded Hula Girl Productions LLC in 2003. Her award winning projects include documentaries and narrative films such as Kumu Hina, Ride the Thunder, State of Aloha, The Willing, All For Melissa, Fishbowl, Constructions, Ke Kulana He Mahu: Remembering a Sense of Place and Redlove. She has also worked as a music and film producer for the Honolulu Symphony: Princess Kaiulani, Hiromi in Love as well as feature projects released by Lionsgate, Roadside Attractions, Music Gate, and Warner Music. For a full BIO go HERE. ![]() Cindy Iodice is a Honolulu based cinematographer, photographer, DIT, writer, director, producer, and founder of Island Girl Pictures LLC.
Cinematography experiences include: The Bridge short film, time-lapse video, Na Manu Kai (2012), three music videos: Little Ukulele Love Song and I Love This City from the album Songs from the Far West, Daniel Bess, and Pro Bowl Hawai’i 2013 music video commercial. Director of Photography credits include The Glades Project- Re-enactment scenes (2013) and Hawaiian Narrative Feature Film Mango Dreams (2012-present). Photography and videography credits were realized during the filming of feature documentary Kumu Hina (2013), and narrative animation short film, Lemuria (2012) RED Camera DIT credits stem from work on: The History Channel series Ride the Thunder (theatrical release spring 2015), and narrative feature film Clew (release date Fall 2015). Cindy worked as a production assistant on Hawaii Five-0 Season four and as floor director during the 95th annual Kamehameha Song Contest. Cindy’s writer, director, producer credits are a result of her narrative short films: Scooter Girl (2013), Somewhere in the Middle (2014) and The Bridge (release date fall 2015). |
