CIARA LACY
Ciara Leina`ala Lacy is an Emmy nominated filmmaker, who was recently announced as a 2024 United States Artist Fellow . Her films have shown at Sundance and Berlinale as well as on platforms including Netflix, PBS, ABC, Al Jazeera, the Guardian, the Atlantic and the Criterion Collection. She has also consulted for Ubisoft, Pixar, and Quibi. Notably, she is the inaugural Sundance Institute Merata Mita Fellow and her work has been supported by Sundance, Tribeca, Nia Tero, the Princess Grace Foundation, the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, Pacific Islanders in Communications, and Firelight Media. She continues to work on documentary content for broadcast and streaming while expanding her intimate style of filmmaking into the branded content, animation, and narrative spaces.
STASIA DROZE
Stasia began working in the film industry as a production assistant on Richie Rich where she was tasked with delivering Macaulay Culkin from his trailer to set without stopping to play basketball with the teamsters. Since then, she has worn many filmmaking hats.Most recently, she received a 2021 regional Emmy® award as producer/director/writer/editor for Ballet Hawaii’s #ArtsBeyondCovid PSA and a nomination for The Nutcracker: A Gift to the Community, an ABC/KITV holiday special. She was a producer on Ready Forward, starring Amy Hill (Magnum PI) and Dennis Chun (Hawaii 5-0) and In Our Own Hands, featuring the plight of MMIW, Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women.
Stasia was also a producer on Election Night, an AFI short film starring Peri Gilpin (Frasier) that premiered in the Cannes Film Festival’s Emerging Filmmakers Showcase, among other festivals. Teaming up with her husband Jim Jost, Stasia produced and edited the silent film trilogy Cubed, which was honored at Honolulu’s Showdown in Chinatown.As commercial director and photographer, Stasia’s client list includes Champion Sportswear, TJ Maxx, Hanes, Nike and Bank of America. She has photographed Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan and Maria Sharapova. Her work was featured in Will Smith’s NAACP award-winning music video Just The Two of Us.
JIM JOST
With over 25 years of experience in the film and television industry, Jim's credits include NCIS Hawaii, Magnum PI, Hawaii 5-0, Numb3rs, Alias and The Parent Trap, along with many others. His decade-long tenure on 5-0 and Magnum includes credits as Director, Director of Photography, 2nd Unit DP and Camera Operator. Jim was Director and Cinematographer on Ready Forward, which premiered at the Sedona International Film Festival, was a finalist at the USA Film Festival, and selected for The Pasadena International Film Festival, the Hawaii International Film Festival, among others. Jim was Director of Photography on Election Night, an AFI short film starring Peri Gilpin (Frasier) which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in the Emerging Filmmakers Showcase and won a Special Jury Award at the USA Film Festival. He was also DP on Leave Keys in Car winner of the Award of Excellence at the Best Shorts Fest, etc. He wrote, directed and shot the short film trilogy Cubed featuring Kenobi Cube which won Honolulu's Showdown in Chinatown.
