The HFC 48-Hour Film Challenge
FILM CHALLENGE / MARCH 29 - 31, 2019
Entry for the challenge is free for HFC members / $15 for non members, counts toward membership sign-up! SCREENING PARTY / APRIL 06 / 7:00pm / Honolulu Museum of Art, Doris Duke Theater (for age 16 and up due to film content) Entry for the screening is $10 for HFC members / $12 for non members (Filmmakers who entered a project and one guest are invited to attend the screening for FREE) ATTENTION: The required elements for the HFC 48 Hour Challenge have been announced:
Theme: The Hawaii you won't see in a tourism video. Line: "Look, I get chicken skin." OR "Look, I have chicken skin." Prop: Traffic Cone & Broken Rubber Slipper IMPORTANT: To turn in your film, you must email events@hifilmmakers.org by 4:00 PM Hawaii Standard Time Sunday, March 31, 2019 with a password-protected Vimeo or Youtube .MOV file! **We cannot screen your film unless your link is downloadable in .MOV format!** 
The HFC 48-Hour Film Challenge - FOR DETAILS AND COMPETITION RULES GO HERE! A Weekend of Adrenaline, Fun, and Creativity! IMPORTANT: Want to feature SAG-AFTRA actors in your 48 hour film? You must complete the following 5 forms and email them to events@hifilmmakers.org by Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019 at 4 PM in order for your film to qualify for screening at our April 6th event. - HFC 48 Hour Film Short Film Agreement - P&H Adherence Letter - HFC 48 Hour Film Project Employment Contract - Exhibit G Time Reports - Final Cast List How it works: Join a team or create your own* to write, shoot, edit and score a short film - in just 48 hours! On Friday, March 29th, 2019, the guidelines for this year’s challenge will be posted on our Facebook page at 4:00 PM HST. Visit our Facebook Page HERE. You will then have exactly 48 hours to create your film within the guidelines presented. The sense of accomplishment is tremendous - and you will be able to watch your film on the big screen at our Screening Event at Honolulu Museum of Art's Doris Duke Theater on Saturday, April 6th at 7:00 PM (tell your friends and family to save the date now, so they can come and cheer on your film)! The winner of the Challenge will get two VIP tickets to our HFC Film Festival in the fall, where their film will be screened as well.
