HFC PITCH MEETING
SUNDAY, June 29 / 5pm - 7pm (online meeting)

Come and dazzle your fellow HFC members with your story ideas and concepts. You have three minutes to present your pitch. Make them precise and most of all, make them memorable!
The project that gets the most member votes wins $1000 cash prize generously provided by Maui Total Visual.
Pitches can be up to three minutes long and should clearly outline concept and crew needed. If you don’t have a pitch, but are interested in joining a production crew, come check out the pitches and decide which project grabs your interest.
Your pitch must meet the following requirements:
IMPORTANT! - NEW REQUIREMENTS TO PITCH:
- One slide on direction (vision, comps, artistic-statement).
- One slide on production (budget, schedule).
WINNER BENEFITS:
- Up to $1000.00 cash paid in 4 installments throughout your production
- HFC Studio usage (32 hours over a period of 4 months / maximum of 6 bookings)
- A premiere with HFC worth $500
All to a single winner!
IMPORTANT! The pitch meeting is open to HFC members only. If you're interested in pitching a film concept or would like to join one of the film crews, please check out our membership options and benefits here.
There will also be an opportunity to sign up for an HFC membership at the pitch meeting itself.
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: 9 PM (HST) ON FRIDAY, JUNE 27
We will accept up to 6 pitches. If we receive more than 6 entries, the finalists will be selected by the executive team based on the logline, treatment, and bio.

Applications will be accepted until 9:00 pm on Friday, June 27, at which point all submissions will be completely closed.
Those selected to pitch will be notified via email by Saturday, June 28.

- Must be for a short film of any genre.
- Films already in post production are not eligible. You must shoot and complete your film within the pitch cycle.
- The winning film must be completed before the next pitch meeting.
- 50% of the cast and crew for the winning film must be HFC members.

IMPORTANT! - NEW REQUIREMENTS TO PITCH:
- Pitchers are required to attend the WRITER'S ROOM with Myka Arakawa on 6/23/25 OR if unable to attend, set up a meeting with Myka (or another HFC exec) within a week's notice of the pitch meeting to go over script.
